Together with our subsidiary E-zorg, we use eHealth to make care accessible and affordable for everyone in the Netherlands without compromising on quality. And that benefits both patients and care providers.
At KPN, we believe that new communication technologies contribute to even greater patient safety and more efficient working practices in the care sector. These eHealth applications let us help improve the quality of life of patients. We also facilitate cost-saving and more efficient solutions for often complicated care processes. As a result, our eHealth applications benefit all parties, whether receiving or providing care.
eHealthOur Heart Rhythm Screening Tool is one such solution that benefits both patients and care providers. With the Heart Rhythm Screening Tool, general practitioners are given access to heart monitoring devices that they can then lend out to patients. The event recorder lets patients easily perform a cardiac scan when symptoms persist. The integrated SIM card automatically forwards the data to the Medical Service Centre. This centre evaluates 12,000 patients each year, in addition to providing advice and arranging medical assistance when necessary. This helps general practitioners reduce unnecessary referrals and patients monitor their own health.
Working together for better careOur goal is to create better, accessible and affordable care for both patients and care providers. But we cannot achieve this goal alone. That is why we bring together patients, clients, care professionals, ICT providers and promising eHealth start-ups. By combining strengths and jointly responding to needs in the care market, we have created smart and innovative solutions like the Hearth Rhythm Screening Tool, Care Workplace, CareSmart Mobility, CareCloud and KPN ONE. These innovative services reduce the burden on care providers and give patients more control over their own health. Together with the care sector, we improve care for all of the Netherlands.
